About RSS and Weblog Feeds
Really Simple Synidcation or RSS is manner in which websites keep you updated on their content. You can subscribe to our RSS feed and you will know at the click of a mouse when we update our reviews of sites. You can choose a digest version or the entire articles, by copying the URL link and then pasting it into a RSS
reader or your RSS-aware browser.
You are probably most familiar with RSS feeds on your favorite news or entertainment website. It is the manner in which the headlines are displayed on the news source. Since it is a scaled down version of XML, the iniformation can be read by various methods and way the information is displayed depends on your reader.
Many new web browser, such as Mozilla's Firefox have an RSS reader built right into them. You can access Best Gay Links headlines right in the toolbar of Firefox. Simply right click and copy the link of one of our RSS Feed links then go to Manage your Bookmarks. Then, in Firefox you will add a new Live Bookmark, pasting the copied feed link right into the address field. There are other stand-alone RSS readers that combine all your feeds into one place. Some people who subscribe to many RSS feeds like to have the information all in one place. Some examples of separate RSS readers programs are: for Mac OS X: NetNewsWire, for Windows: SharpReader, for Linux: Straw or via any web browser: Bloglines.
